Despite my previous posts, I didn’t really have access to internet while in the Barossa Valley so I was unable to keep you up to speed on what actually happened. As an aside, who knew you had to come to the Outback to get internet service?!? Anyway, we had a great time exploring the Australian wine industry and learning about sustainable farming practices and the challenges facing small, medium and large scale wineries.
I cannot say enough great things about the Rotarians who hosted us – especially my host family Bob and Robyn Sloane. Bob also happens to be the Barossa Valley Rotary president.
Moving forward, I will add in posts periodically about the BV but will move forward with posts about Peterborough where I am currently located.
