It is said that good fences make good neighbors. The U.S. tried this when we built our southern fence to keep out Mexicans non-Americans in an attempt to pander to xenophobes secure our borders.
Well, it turns out that Australia has built their own fence to tackle my old enemy…the dingo. True story.
In fact, the Aussies strung up this fence along their northern territory to keep dingoes from coming down to the south an eating babies sheep. And, despite the fact that this seems to be an “on your honor type of system”…it works.
I may not get a chance to run into my old enemy the dingo on this trip, but I did live with this ferocious animal for four days and somehow lived to tell the tale. :)
